Tip of the Day

Modern harddrives include thousands of spare sectors. If yours has started showing many (over 100?) bad sectors and/or corrupted files, one way to "fix" it is to use Sysinternal's SDELETE program to "clean" the drive. Since, for an empty drive, that writes to every sector of the drive, all the bad sectors will be replaced by spares. Problem solved!

Q & A

Q.  What is 'structured data'?
A.  A set of information where the first row or record contains names for the column data and each subsequent row or record contains a unique set of data where each column or field contain the same data type of information and separated by a common character such as a comma or a TAB so that the data set structure could be easily understood by a spreadsheet, database, or table.
