Tip of the Day

Modern harddrives include thousands of spare sectors. If yours has started showing many (over 100?) bad sectors and/or corrupted files, one way to "fix" it is to use Sysinternal's SDELETE program to "clean" the drive. Since, for an empty drive, that writes to every sector of the drive, all the bad sectors will be replaced by spares. Problem solved!

A.  Use CTRL+-, (minus key), to zoom out. Select a group and drag n drop. Right Click a group and select Name Group.

The SPCUG Answer Guys attempt to answer your computer hardware or software questions regardless of the complexity.  Use of this service is free to the public and questions are answered strictly as time permits. You can email use by using our e-mail Form or you can show up to our general meeting and ask your question there, or you can call us at (916) 984-9250 and we can call you back. However, our group only meets once a month so it might be as much as a month before your question would be answered.
